- When is the best time to visit Rome?
Spring and Autumn are the best seasons as far as climate is concerned but they also attract more tourists. Major sites tend to become overcrowded (sometimes museums and galleries can be packed to overflowing). It is hot in the summertime with temperatures in July and August reaching 95°F. It is also true that the heat is no longer as certain as it used to be. During this time, Rome is fascinating. There are less crowds and plenty of ice-cold drinks to have under shady umbrellas. Winter is an unpredictable season. Daytime temperatures may be cold, or so mild that a coat is unnecessary. The famous sites are pleasant to visit as there are less tourists around. The best months to enjoy quietness and the weather are October through April. But most important is that you come to Rome, then together we'll skip the crowds.
- Are your prices per person?
Our guiding fee is per hour. For groups of 4 people or more, the price will slightly change. Participants will share the cost among themselves.
- Can we change tours?
Of course we can make changes, adding or cutting according to your wishes and needs, even at the last moment.
- Do we need to book entrance tickets ahead of time to skip long lines?
For the coliseum and the Vatican Museums, we highly suggest a reservation to skip long lines. In our website, links are available to purchase both tickets and reservation through the official website with no commissions. We'll help you with the needed information and assistance.
- Do you give tours everyday?
Our tours are private and customized: we'll define together the best dates and times according to your needs and our availability.
- I'm willing to discover the city but I'm afraid my children get bored.
I understand your concern of having your kids also engaged and interested. We have a great deal of experience with children of all ages. It is a challenge we are accustomed to! The tour will be funnier and lighter to please and entail our young customers. We gear the tour towards the kids not forgetting the adults needs too.
- I'm arriving by cruise in Civitavecchia. Can I reach Rome by train and meet you in town?
The train connecting Civitavecchia to Rome and back runs quite often and the ride is about 1 hour. In addition, taxis are available at the dock and at the Civitavecchia train station to get back on board. We'll meet you at the Roman railway station and start the tour from there. At the end of the tour we will take you back to the train station in time for you not to miss your train.
